The Segway, best described as a stand-up scooter, was invented by Dean Kamen in 2001 during the Technology and Information Age of inventions. Fact 3: Who invented the Segway? John K. Starley invented the Rover Safety Bicycle in 1885 and the 20th century saw the rise of specialized bikes such as the Chopper, the BMX and the Mountain Bike.
